1 c. coconut
1 c. chopped pecans
1 package German chocolate cake mix
1/2 c. margarine
1 8-oz. package cream cheese, softened
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Spread coconut on bottom of 15x11x2 inch baking pan. Spread pecans over coconut. Prepare cake mix as directed on package and spread over coconut and pecans in pan. Mix together margarine, cream cheese and powdered sugar.

Drop by spoonfuls into cake batter. Do not stir. Bake 45-50 minutes or until toothpick stuck between the drops comes out clean.

Rich and Good---and EASY! This is an easy cake to make and tastes great. When it comes out of the oven, it looks like it exploded, hence Earthquake Cake! The cream cheese mixture sinks, and the nuts and coconut rise.
