baked pie crust
3 eggs (separated)
⅔ cup sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
⅓ cup flour
2 cups milk
3½ ounces coconut
6 Tablespoons sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Put egg yolks in boiler.
Beat slightly.
Add ⅔ cup sugar, ¼ teaspoon salt.
Blend.
Add ⅓ cup flour; blend.
Add 2 cups milk.
Stir.
Cook over medium heat until it thickens (boils), stirring often.
Add coconut, reserving some to sprinkle on top.
Pour pudding into pie shell.
Beat egg whites till they form stiff peaks.
Gradually add 6 Tablespoons sugar.
Put merigne on top of pudding.
Brown at 400º in oven.
