Decker Family


cup melted shortening
1 cup brown sugar
cup molasses
1 egg
2 cups flour
tsp cloves
tsp ginger
tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon

Mix first 4 ingredients and beat well.
Add dry ingredients- chill dough well, form into small balls and roll in sugar or powdered sugar.

Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes
