Sift Together:

3 cups flour
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp baking powder

Cut in:

1¼ cups Crisco shortening or 1 cup lard (lard must be at room temperature)

Mix well and combine with flour mixture:

1 egg, well beaten
5 T water
1 T vinegar

Makes two double pies. Keeps well in refrigerator.
