2 cups chopped onion
⅓ cup pickling salt
2 cups white sugar
2 heads of dill
8 cups sliced cucumbers
1 cup white vinegar
1 T celery seed (tied in a small cloth bag)

Directions:
Directions:
Put onions, cucumbers and dill in a large kettle. In a separate sauce pan, bring salt, vinegar, sugar and celery seed to a boil. Pour brine over the cucumber mixture while still hot. Put cover on kettle and let cool. Once cooled, place in glass jar and put in refrigerator for about 4 days.
