* 1 butter cup squash
* 1/3 cup of honey or maple syrup
* 2 Tbsp butter (optional)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 425*f . Cut the top off of the squash as you would for a pumpkin at halloween.
Hollow out the seeds and put the syrup or honey and butter in the squash and replace the top. Set the squash in a pan and bake in the oven for 1 hour or until soft when poking the flesh with a fork.
Remove from the oven and with a spoon remove the cooked squash and the liquid from the shell to a serving dish.
Hint: A: If the squash is shaped such that it won't sit level in the cooking pan, crumple some aluminum foil and set the squash on top of the foil in the pan to a level position.
