Cream:

1 ½ cups sugar
1 cup butter

Add:
2 eggs, one at a time. Beat well after each addition.

Add:
1 oz red food coloring
1 tsp vanilla

Sift together:
2 ⅓ cups flour
2 tsp cocoa

Add alternately with 1 cup milk. Mix 1 tsp soda and 1 T vinegar. Add to mixture.

Put in 9x13 pan. Bake at 350º . (It doesn't say how long to bake, but usually until it pops back up when you press on it lightly with your finger.)

Frosting:

1 cup milk
3 T flour

Cook until thick. Cool. If too warm, it will curdle.

Beat until fluffy:
⅔ cup butter
1 cup sugar

Beat the cooled mixture and butter mixture well.
