Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Cake:
1 box of 2-step angel food cake mix, any brand
one egg white

Frosting:
1 scant cup of white Crisco
1 2 lb. bag of powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla (clear keeps frosting whiter)
1/2 to 3/4 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven according to box directions of angel food cake. In a mixing bowl, combine the package of dry egg whites with the actual egg white called for. Beat with a mixer until stiff. Mix in the flour package of the cake mix into the egg whites. You can use either an angel food tube cake pan or a loaf pan. Make sure pan is clean and free of oil. Pour batter into ungreased cake pan. Run a metal spatula through the batter to get out air bubbles. Bake according to box directions. Remove from oven and cool the tube pan by placing it upside down on a metal funnel. Or put the loaf pan on a cooling rack. Remove from pan when completely cool. When cooled, run a knife around the outside edge of the tube pan and the inside ring. Remove base from cake pan. Cover with a plate or platter and tip over. Run a knife around the base to finish removing the cake. Frost if desired.

Frosting:
With a mixer, beat powdered sugar and Crisco. Add milk and vanilla to spreading consistency. Frost cake.
