1 cup soft butter or margarine
½ cup granulated sugar
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon almond flavoring
1 cup flour (original recipe called for 2 cups)
1 cup ground nuts

mix butter and sugar until creamy

add remaining ingredients

chill one hour

form into round balls 1 inch in diameter

bake on greased cookie sheet at 325º for 10 minutes

sprinkle with powdered sugar while warm
