Ingredients:
1 whole chicken, cut up (leave skin on)
1 t. salt
1/2 t. pepper
1 t. basil
1/2 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
Put cut up chicken in crockpot. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add water. Sprinkle basil on top. Cook 8-10 hours on low. Remove from crockpot. Remove skin and bones. Pour the liquid the chicken was cooked in into a pot. Heat to boiling. Mix 2 T. flour with enough water (approximately 1/2 cup--I don't measure) to pour into boiling broth. Cook a few minutes until it thickens. This sauce is delicious over the chicken. I usually serve it over rice.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
You can add: 2 sliced carrots, 2 sliced onions, and 2 sliced stalks of celery. If you do add the vegetables, put them in first on the bottom of crockpot. This will change the taste of the sauce. I personally prefer no vegetables.
