6 oz. uncooked elbow macaroni
3 c. broccoli florets
3 bacon slices, diced
2 - 3 chicken breasts, skinless boneless
1 t. kosher salt
1 T. garlic, minced
1/8 t. ground turmeric
1 1/4 c. low-fat milk
1 c. chicken stock
1/4 c. plus 1 t. flour
5 oz. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Preheat broiler to high.

Cook pasta according to package directions. Add broccoli florets to boiling water the last 2 minutes of cook time.

While pasta cooks, place bacon in a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat. Cook 4 minutes or until browned, stirring occasionally. Remove bacon with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towel. Add chicken to drippings and salt and pepper. Cook 10 minutes per side or until no longer pink. Sprinkle with garlic, cook 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with turmeric, cook 30 seconds, stirring frequently.

Combine milk, chicken stock and flour, whisk until smooth. Add milk mixture to chicken and bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Cook 2 minutes or until thickened. Add pasta to mixture and 2 oz. of cheese. Toss to coat. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bacon. Broil for 2 minutes or until cheese melts and just begins to brown.
