Crust:

1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. flour
1/4 c. powdered sugar
1 T. cornstarch
pinch salt

Filling:

8 oz. pecans, salted and roasted
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. heavy cream
1 T. vanilla
1/2 t. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

Line an 8 x 8 pan with foil.

For the crust, combine the flour, powdered sugar, cornstarch and salt and cut in butter. Spread in pan. Sprinkle with pecans and chocolate chips.

In a microwave safe bowl, combine butter, brown sugar and heavy cream. Heat on high for 1 minute. Whisk and heat 1 minute more. Remove and stir in vanilla and salt. Slowly pour over crust and redistribute pecans, if necessary. Bake for 30 minutes. Cool for 3 hours. Cut into square and store in an airtight container for up to a week.
