1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 t. vanilla
1/4 c. water
1 c. mini chocolate chips
1/2 c. roasted sliced or slivered almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Combine butter, sugar, vanilla and water in me heavy bottom pot. Bring to boil over low to medium heat. Continue a slow boil to reach 300º using a candy thermometer.

Once temperature is met, pour hot mixture on to parchment paper. Spray to desired thickness. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and almonds while still warm. Cool completely and break into pieces.

NOTE: When making candy, the humidity in the air will make a difference. If it is rainy, snowy or humid, the candy will not set-up well. It will be sticky.
