11/2 pound apples peeled and sliced
1 cup raisins
1/2 lemon sliced
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
ground cloves
1 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Combine apples,raisins,lemon,sugar cinnamon nutmeg,salt and pinch of clove and
1 cup water in a large saucepan.Bring to a boil, reduce heat and let simmer for 2 hours,stirring occasionally. remove from heat and stir in nuts.Serve warm or cold.
