1 pkg frozen Filo leaves
1 lb butter

NUT MIXTURE
1 lb walnuts, ground
2 tsp cinnamon
½ cup sugar

SYRUP
1½ cup sugar
1 cup water
½ cup honey
1 tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Butter 9 x 13 x 2 pan with four filo leaves, brushing with melted butter after each layer. Cover filo leaves with ½ nut mixture. Cover with 2 more filo leaves brushed with butter. Continue layers till all used up. Top with last layer of filo leaves and sprinkle with 1 tbsp water.

Cut into small squares before baking. Bake at 350º till golden brown for 45-50 minutes.

While above bakes, boil syrup ingredients for 35-40 minutes. Pour over hot pastry. Re-cut squares and let stand to cool.

Best if left over night before eating. Freezes well.
