CREAM together
1 cup sugar &
1 tbsp butter

ADD
1 egg and beat well.

MIX
1¼ cup flour with
2 tsp baking powder

SLOWLY MIX
the egg mixture and flour mixture together with
½ cup milk.

Pour into a greased 9 x 13 baking dish.

Spread 4 cups of small chopped rhubarb mixed with 1½ cups sugar on top of the batter. Then spread this over the batter. Pour 1 cup boiling water over everything in the dish.

Bake at 375º for 40 minutes.

(NOTE: Frozen rhubarb can be used just add 1-2 tbsp of flour to the rhubarb and sugar, shake it to coat it all)
