2 cups sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
4 ½ - 5 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together, adding enough flour to get a firm dough consistency. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. Roll out to your desired thickness of a cookie. Cut out with cookie cutters. Bake 350º Until they look done -- not brown!
