2 tbsp. butter
¼ tsp. turmeric
1 c. uncooked long-grain white rice.
1 medium onion chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 can (13.75 oz.) chicken broth and enough water to make 2½ cups.
8 oz. scallops (or more)
8 oz. shrimp (or more) peeled and deveined
1 (10 oz. package) frozen peas partially thawed
½ tsp. salt

In large skillet melt butter over medium heat. Stir in turmeric. Add rice, onion and garlic. Cook about 3 minutes until onion is translucent, stirring often. Pour in broth/water mixture, bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes. Add scallops, shrimp and peas. Simmer covered 5 minutes longer or until scallops are opaque, shrimp turn pink and peas are heated through. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve with soy sauce.
