1 cup brown sugar
¼ cup water

2 tbsp butter or margarine

1 cup coarsely chopped or broken cashews
½ tsp vanilla



In small saucepan combine 1 cup brown sugar; 1/4cup water;
Bring to boiling, stirring to dissolve sugar. Blend in
2Tb. butter or margarine. Cook to 230’ stir often and continue cooking to soft crack 290’ stage. Remove from heat; add 1 cup coarsely chopped or broken cashews & 1/2 tsp vanilla.
Quickly drop from teaspoon onto foil covered baking sheet. Cool thoroughly. Makes about 1 dozen candies.
