1 cup sifted flour
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 cups egg whites
1 1/2 tea cream of tartar
1/4 tea salt
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 tea vanilla
1/2 tea almond flavoring

Sift flour and powdered sugar 3 times.
Beat egg whites in large bowl with salt and cream of tartar till foamy.

Gradually add white sugar a spoon at a time and keep beating until it forms peaks when held on beater.

Add flavoring, sift flour mixture over meringue gradually about a spoon at a time. Fold in with long folds. ( DO NOT BEAT) Push batter into

Bake 15 min. at 350 degrees and then 20 mins at 375 degrees. Invert pan on funnel and let cool
