Ingredients:  
1 16 oz can pitted dark sweet cherries
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 cup cherry brandy or kirsch or brandy

Directions:
Directions:
Drain cherries and reserve juice. Blend sugar & cornstarch in a saucepan. Gradually stir in reserved syrup mixing well. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture is thickened and bubbly. Remove from heat. Stir in cherries. Heat brandy and ignite if desired. Stir into sauce. Serve over ice cream.
