1 c. light corn syrup
1 c. butter
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
1. In large bowl melt butter on high 45-60 seconds.
2. Add syrup, can of milk and sugar, and mix well.
3. Microwave on high 4 minutes and stir well.
4. Microwave 4 more minutes and stir.
5. Microwave 4 more minutes and stir (12 minutes in all).
6. Microwave 2 more minutes and stir .
7. Cook 2 more minutes and stir again -- this time test for soft-ball stage. (Drop a bit of the syrup in a glass of cold water and see if it holds it shape as a soft ball).
8. Continue microwaving on high for 1 minute at a time and testing for soft-ball stage after each minute.
9. When it hits soft-ball stage, add nuts if desired, and pour into a very well greased 9x13 pan.
10. Cool and cut into pieces. Wrap in waxed paper.
