White Sauce:

3 Tbsps. butter
3 Tbsps. flour
Salt & pepper to taste
1-1/2 cups milk
1-1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 lb. sharp white cheddar cheese, shredded

Topping:

1/2 cup melted butter
2 cups soft breadcrumbs

1 lb. of your favorite pasta, cooked al dente, drained

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350º.

2. In a large saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour.

3. Add milk and cream and keep stirring until thickened.

4. Add salt and pepper to taste.

5. Take off heat and stir in cheese until melted.

6. Mix in cooked pasta and pour into large baking dish.

7. Mix together breadcrumbs and butter and put on top of the macaroni and cheese.

8. Bake at 350º for 35 to 35 minutes until lightly browned and bubbly.
