1 1/2 lbs. ground chuck (or half chuck and half ground beef)
1/2 can tomato soup
1 cup crackers, crushed (about 25 crackers)
2 stalks celery, sliced
1 onion, chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 egg
1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese (grated)
1 1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
2 T. barbeque sauce
1 T. soy sauce
1 1/2 t. hot sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 350º. Sauté onions, celery and pepper in water or butter. In mixing bowl, add all ingredients (except only 1/2 of soup) and mix well. Shape mixture and put in a baking pan. Pour rest of soup over top. Bake 45-50 minutes or until done.

This is Granddaddy Dunn's recipe. Instead of adding the soup to the top, I prefer this topping--1/4 cup ketchup, 2 T. brown sugar, 1 t. hot teriyaki sauce, and dash of dry mustard.
