Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Cake:
1 ½ cup flour
¾ cup baking cocoa, unsweetened
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 ¼ cup red wine

Glaze:
1 cup dark chocolate baking chips
¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
½ cup red wine
1 cup powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and lightly flour 12 cup bundt pan. Set aside.

In a medium bowl, sift flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, beat together butter and sugars with an electric mixer on medium high until light and fluffly, about 3-4 minutes. Beat in eggs, one at a time, until combined. Beat in vanilla. On low speed, beat in ⅓ of flour mixture till combined. Beat in ½ of the wine till combined. Continue with ⅓ of flour mixture, then remaining half of wine, ending with the last of the flour. Do not over mix.

Scrape the cake batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick, inserted in the middle, comes out clean. Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and finish cooling on a rack.

While the cake is cooling, make the glaze: melt the chocolate chips on a double broiler with the butter. Remove from heat and mix in powder sugar and wine.

Place cake on a cake place and pour the glaze over, evenly. Excess glaze will fill the middle of the cake. Serve.

I use Cupcake Vineyards Red Velvet wine. You can find it at Randall's Wine & Spirits.
