Personal Notes:
This is a coveted recipe from Marianne Endo, a lovely woman. Her japanese new year celebration with her twin sister Aunt Jo were a wonderful beginning to my love for Asian food, sitting around a large table in a modest brick home, the table laden with chicken lollipops, beef satay, char shu (pronounce cha shu), and my ultimate favorite, Japanese chicken salad which is also in this book.
