Cream Puffs:
1 c. water
1/2 c. margarine
1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
4 eggs

Cream Filling:
1/3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. corn starch
1/8 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
2 tbsp. softened margarine
2 tsp. vanilla

Fruit Filling (Grandma Mae's recipe):
1 box instant vanilla pudding mix
1 - 20 oz. can crushed pineapple
1/2 c. finely chopped cherries

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400ºF (205ºC).

Cream Puffs:
Bring water and butter to a boil in saucepan over med heat. Add flour and salt all at once; stir until smooth ball forms. Remove from heat; let stand 5 minutes. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat until mixture is smooth and shiny (about 3 minutes). Drop by rounded tablespoons onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Let cool.

Cream Filling:
Mix sugar, cornstarch, and salt into saucepan. Gradually stir in milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils; boil and stir for 1 minute. Stir half of the hot mixture gradually into egg yolks. Blend in rest of hot mixture. Boil and stir 1 minute. Remove from heat. Stir in margarine and vanilla; cool.

Fruit Filling:
Prepare the pudding mix according to pkg. instructions, using the juice from the can of pineapple. Add fruit and fold in whipped cream.

Fill with whipped cream or instant pudding if preferred, and drizzle with hot fudge sauce.
