3 lbs. cabbage (after cut), sliced very thin
1 small green pepper, sliced thin
2 medium onions, sliced thin
3 carrots, finely cut
2 cup white sugar

Mix:
1teaspoon celery seed
1 tablespoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup cider vinegar
1 cup Wesson oil

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the vinegar, oil, sugar, salt and celery seed to a boil. Pour over the vegetables. Let cool slightly and refrigerate. This will keep as long as there's any left.

Anytime I would go on vacation with my husband's family, Grandma Beulah and Aunt Judy would have this as a side dish. It goes great with just about anything. It's also a great holiday side, especially if you add red peppers to it.
