- one pound all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup to 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- water
- vegetable oil

Directions:
Directions:
1) Sift together all dry ingredients into a bowl and add just enough water to make a dough. 2) Cut a small piece of dough and roll between your hands to from a 3 to 5 inch log. 3) Deep fry in 1 1/2 inches of oil at 350 degrees F.

The festive came from Jamaica . It was cool being able to get a feeling of their culture by making festival . I really enjoyed making it and being able to taste what was in it.
