Directions: |
Directions:Crush the Oreo cookies (food processor works best) and mix with 1/4 cup margarine. On a large cookie sheet, set out the clear cups. Recipe says it makes 20 to 24 cups but I would say it is more like 16. Put a thin layer of Oreo mixture in the bottom of each cup.
In a large bowl, add milk. Very slowly, beat in pudding powder. Softened the cream cheese in the microwave for one minute. Beat cream cheese into pudding. Beat in powdered sugar and Cool Whip. The batter tends to spatter EVERYWHERE so move your valuables! Holding a gummy worm along the inside of the cup, spoon about 1/3 cup of pudding into each cup on top of Oreos. The head of the gummy worm should be sticking out. Use up all of the pudding by evening up the amount in each cup. Add the top layer of Oreo mixture. Chill before serving. Keep refrigerated. I cover them with a sheet of Press 'n Sea.l |

Notes: If you went to school with Rachel, then you know that this was her signature birthday treat every year. I always sent extras for the school cooks because they were nice enough to transport the treats to school and store the pans in their big refrigerator. It pays to know the cooks! And I always sent one for Mrs. V. to celebrate her birthday the next day.
