3 ¾ cups water
1 ¼ cups grits
1 cup (or more) grated sharp Cheddar cheese
2 eggs
¼ cup milk
½ stick margarine
salt or garlic salt to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Put grits in boiling water and cook 7 or 8 minutes. Remove and stir in margarine and cheese. Beat eggs slightly and mix with milk. Stir into grits mixture along with salt. Pour into a casserole dish and bake at 350º for 30 to 35 minutes.

BoMama brings these grits to every Christmas morning family brunch! Her original recipe called for 1 stick of garlic smoked cheese instead of grated Cheddar, but we can no longer find this in any of the Anniston stores. These grits are delicious and also great leftover!
