1 c. uncooked rice
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of celery soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 whole chicken cut into pieces (2 legs, 2 thighs, 2 breasts)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 4 ingredients together with 2 cans of water. Put chicken pieces in a casserole dish that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Pour the soup mixture over the chicken. Grind some fresh black pepper over the top (to taste). Cover with foil and bake at 350º for 1½ hours. Remove foil and bake for another 30 minutes.

I think this recipe is much better when you use chicken with the bones in and skin on. Bernice served this dish frequently when she was hosting a large group, she just doubled the recipe or made several dishes. The fact that is cooks for 2 hours eliminates last minute cooking and she could socialize with her guests and enjoy happy hour with them.
