1 1/2 c cooked and strained pumpkin (or canned)
1 c milk
1/4 c butter
3 eggs
1 c sugar
1/2 t salt
1/2 t ginger
1/2 t nutmeg
1 t cinnamon
1/2 c chopped nuts

Have the pumpkin cooked down dry. Mix all ingredients together thoroughly. Beat eggs lightly and add to mixture. Put into a crust and bake slowly, about 40 minutes, or until done.

Truly divine, even with canned pumpkin! Whole pecan halves placed on top just before baking make a tasty and decorative top. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream. Allow pie to cool before serving; it will cut better
