1½ c. oil
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. chopped apples (like Granny Smith)
1 c. chopped nuts.
Topping:
1 stick butter
1 c. brown sugar
¼ c. milk
Directions:
Directions:
Beat together oil, eggs, and sugar. Gradually add flour, soda, and salt. Mix well. With a wooden spoon add vanilla, apples and nuts. Stir to blend. Pour into prepared pan and bake at 325º for 1 hour.
For topping - mix all ingredients together in a small sauce pan and bring to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes. Pour over warm cake.
