6 egg whites
¾ teaspoon cream of tartar
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups of soda crackers (saltines), bite size pieces
¾ cup chopped nuts (pecan or walnut)
2 packages of dream whip
1 can of any kind of pie filling (blueberry, raspberry, cherry, pineapple)


Directions:

Beat the 6 egg whites till stiff. Then add the cream of tartar, sugar and vanilla. Fold in the soda crackers and chopped nuts. Spread this into an oblong cake pan and bake at 350º for 25 minutes.
Let cool.
Mix the dream whip as directed on package. Spread this over the base that has been cooled. Chill.
Add 1 can of the pie filling to the top.

This is another recipe that I found in Grandma Beulah's book. At the top it says the recipe came from Judy Turner (her daughter). Judy is my husband's Aunt.
