1 9-inch baked pastry shell
1 quart peppermint-stick ice cream, softened
Fudge sauce:
2 Tbsp. butter
2 1-oz. square chocolate, unsweetened
1 cup sugar
1 6-oz. can evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Meringue:
3 egg whites
½ tsp. vanilla
¼ tsp. cream of tartar
6 Tbsp. sugar
4 Tbsp. peppermint-stick candy crushed

Directions:
In saucepan mix butter, chocolate, sugar and evaporated milk. Cook and stir until thick. Add the vanila; cool. Spread half of the ice cream (1 pint) in pie shell. Cover with halk of the chocolate sauce and freeze. Repeat layers. Freeze overnight or untill firm.
Prepare meringue: Beat egg whites with vanilla and cream of tartar until soft peaks form and all sugar is dissolved. Fold 3 Tbsp. of the crushed peppermint-stick candy into the meringue. Remove pie from freezer. Spread the meringue over chocolate layer; carefully seal to the edge. Sprinkle top with the remaining 1 Tbsp. crushed peppermint-stick candy. Place pie on cutting board. Bake at 475ºF for 5 to 6 minute or until golden. Serve immediately

We had this peppermint pie every year o New Year`s Eve with family. Now i make it every year for our family party.
