1 C butter
1 1/2 C sugar
2 eggs
1 t. vanilla
1/2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
2/3 C unsweetened cocoa powder
3 C flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the butter and sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and mix until well incorporated. Roll and cut to desired shape. Bake at 350º for 10 minutes (more or less depending on the size of the cookie).

Georgia introduced this recipe to our family and it quickly became a favorite. It's the chocolate version of the butter roll outs and keeps its shape well. As with the butter roll outs, they're delicious plain or you can dip them in a glaze or frost them with cream cheese frosting...they're very versatile!
