Butter lightly:
12 slices bread (can be stale)

Arrange 6 slices in bottom of 9 x 13 inch greased baking dish. Cover with:

6 slices cheese or 2 cups shredded cheese

Top with remaining bread.

Beat together and pour over:
2 2/3 cup milk
4 eggs
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard

Preheat over to 350º.

Bake 45 minutes or until puffed and golden. Maybe prepared in advance and refrigerated before baking.
