5 Apples
1 t cinnamon
1 c sugar
1 T butter
1 egg
1/2 c flour
1/2 t baking powder
pinch of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and slice apples and pile high into a 10-inch pie pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon and 1/3 c sugar. Start oven at 425. In separate bowl, mix butter, remaining sugar and egg. Beat well. Sift in flour, baking powder and salt and stir til batter is smooth. Pour over apples. Bake 10 minutes at 425, then turn oven to 350 and bake 20 minutes longer or until apples are tender when tested with a fork. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream!
