6 cups warm water (about 105’F)
⅔ cup oil
⅓ cup white sugar
2 Tbsp salt
2 Tbsp yeast
6 cups flour plus more

Directions:
Directions:
1. In large bowl add water, salt, sugar and oil. Mix until sugar is dissolved.
2. Add 3 cups flour and yeast and mix.
3. Add 2 more cups flour and continue mixing. Add 1 cup flour and mix.
When mixing gets difficult, dump out onto table and knead 5-10 minutes using shakes of more flour as needed..knead until it is a smooth ball
4. Grease ball and bowl and set bread smooth side up.
5. Cover with tea towel and place in warm location. Let rise until double in size.
6. Punch dough down. Let rise again x 20 minutes.
7. Make into loaves, buns, cinnamon buns, pizza crust. Grease pans well.
8. Let rise until almost double in size.
9. Cook in 350’F oven. Cool on racks.

Grama used this recipe most of the time as it required no eggs or milk.
When we were kids, we would eat about 20 loaves a week!!
