2 cups sugar
1/4 cup butter (1/2 stick)
4 oz. semi-sweet chocolate squares
1 t. vanilla
1/4 t. salt

Directions:
Heat milk and sugar to a rolling boil, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 3-5 minutes (being careful for it boils over easily). It is thicker the longer you boil it. Add chocolate, stirring until melted. Beat over heat until smooth. (If sauce has slightly curdled appearance, beat vigorously until smooth.) Remove from heat, add butter, vanilla, and salt. It will get thicker after it cools. If it is too thick after cooling, add a little milk and reheat.
