2 to 3 lb round steak cut in cubes
8 tbsp. butter
1/2 c flour
1/4 c chopped parsley
1 tsp thyme leaves
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 pint flat beer (about 2 c)
4 to 6 onions sliced
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper

Directions:
Dredge beef in flour and brown in 4 tbsp. butter. Add parsley, thyme, salt, pepper, vinegar and beer. Bring to a boil for 2 to 3 minutes. Pour into electric bean pot or slow cooker and simmer for 2 hours. Saute onions in 4 tbsp. butter. Add sugar and cook until onions are glazed. Add onions to beef and cook together for one hour. Serve on bed of rice or mashed potatoes.
