6 eggs, beaten
1½ cup sugar
1 cup shortening, melted
4 cups lukewarm water
4 tsp salt
2 pkgs yeast (2 tbsp)

Glaze:
1 cup sugar
½ cup milk
½ cup margarine
½-¾ cup icing sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together the eggs, sugar, shortening, water, salt, and yeast. Then add enough flour to make a soft dough. Let rise once. Punch down and let rise again. Then roll out and cut. Let rise in a warm place, then fry in hot lard.

For the glaze, boil the sugar, milk and margarine for 1 minute. Cool to lukewarm and then add the icing sugar.
