1 chicken, cooked, skin and bones removed, cut in bite sized pieces
10 slices toasted bread, cubed
2 eggs, lightly beaten
2 T. minced onion
2 T. diced celery
1 t. rubbed sage, or to taste
Salt and Pepper to taste
3/4 c. butter, melted

Sauce:
2 c. chicken broth
4 T. flour
1 pint whipping cream
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onion and celery in butter.
Put toasted bread cubes in large bowl.
Add the onion, celery, eggs, sate, salt and pepper, and melted butter.
Mix together and set aside.

Butter a 9 x 13 pan.
Put the chicken in the bottom of the buttered pan.
Put the bread mixture over the top of the chicken.

Mix the sauce ingredients together and pour over top of the mixture in the pan.
Bake at 350 deg. for 1 hour.

The original recipe called for 1 quart of chicken broth for the sauce, but I found it to be too mushy with that much broth. I changed it to 2 c. of broth. Just see how it works for you.
