Ingredients: 2 1/2 pounds fresh Spinach 1 cup hot water 1 tsp. garlic salt 1/2 stick butter (cut into pieces)

Directions:Pick over the spinach to remove any weeds and brown leaves. Break off large stems small tender stems can remain.
Place the spinach leaves in a bowl or pan filled with cold water. Let sit for 10 minutes to loosen grit. Wash three times, changing the water each time until all grit is gone. Place the spinach in a pot with the water and garlic let it come to a boil.
Cook for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring to cook evenly.
Drain and add the butter, stirring lightly to mix.

Notes: I love Spinach, my children never liked it that much when they were young. However, I cooked it for them any way and they had to eat it. Parents always say makes you strong like Pop-Eye to make them eat it.
