2 cups flour
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup shortening
4 tsp. baking powder
2/3 cup milk
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Sift or mix flour, baking powder, slat, Cream of Tartar and sugar together
Cut in the shortening till it resembles coarse crumbs
Add milk, stir till dough follows fork around bowl.
Pat or roll to 1/2 inch thick
Cut with biscuit cutter or drop by spoonful on baking sheet
Bake on un-greased cookie sheet at 450º for 10-12 minutes
