1/2 c. softened butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 squares unsweetened chocolate
2 t. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 t. salt
3/4 c. nuts, finely chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Mix thoroughly the butter, sugar, egg, melted chocolate and vanilla. Stir in flour and salt. Mix in nuts. Shape into 8x12 rectangle on a well-greased baking sheet. Cover with waxed paper; chill until firm. Heat oven to 375º. Cut dough into 48 logs, each 4"x1/2". Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes - just until set, not hard.
