Directions:
Cut stems off and then cut the peppers in half lengthwise. Remove the seeds and rinse peppers in cold water. In a bowl mix cheeses until blended. In a another bowl put the brown sugar.
Using a teaspoon , spoon cheese into pepper halves. Wrap a half strip of bacon around each pepper half and fasten with a tooth pick. Sprinkle brown sugar to coat on the bacon wrapped peppers.
Place sugar coated poppers in a greased 15in x10in x1in baking pan. Bake in a 350*f oven for 20 to 30 minutes or until the bacon is firm and crispy.
Note:
1) The cream cheese and brown sugar allow even the hot pepper intolerant to enjoy these poppers.
2) When cutting and seeding hot peppers , disposable gloves are recommended. Avoid touching your face.
3) The unbaked poppers can be stored in the refrigerator over night and baked the next day.
4) 6 peppers will make 12 poppers. We have tripled the recipe many times.
