8 oz. cream cheese, softened
3 sticks butter, softened
3 c sugar
6 eggs
3 c flour
1 T vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Cream cream cheese and butter in mixer. Add sugar and eggs; Mix well. Add flour and vanilla extract. Mix till completely blended.Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 300º for 1-1½ hrs. Cool on a rack. Invert onto a cake plate. Serve warm with ice cream.

Mama didn’t write down which type of flour to use, but I’m assuming cake or self-rising. Ms. Loris was a friend of Mama’s. Her husband, Paul, and Mr. Paul’s parents owned Shaw’s Grocery when we were growing up in Willacoochee.
