Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 Chuck Roast
1package of Ranch Salad Mix
2 package of Zesty Italian Salad Mix
2 packages of Brown Gravy Mix
Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Place a very small amount of water in the bottom of crockpot. Just enough to cover the bottom. Empty the packets of Ranch, Italian and Zesty Italian salad dressing mixes in the water and stir to make a paste. Place the Chuck Roast in the Crock Pot being sure to cover both sides of the roast with the paste. Add another very small amount of water to the Crock Pot. Just enough to keep the roast from sticking to the pot while cooking. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-6 hours.

When there is about an hour of cooking time left, drain off liquid saving enough to make the gravy. In a small bowl, empty the 2 packet of dry gravy ingredients and add water taken from crockpot and mix well. Pour gravy on the roast. Gently stir then cover and continue remaining cook time.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I usually keep a small jar of brown gravy on hand in case there isn't enough gravy after the roast cooks. Sometimes the gravy is thicker and doesn't serve as many people.
